Advanced Placement Art Portfolio
This course is for the advanced art student who is very serious about their art. Students will develop a portfolio of their artwork with the possible choice of art as a major in an advanced institution, or as a possible career. College credits may be granted based on an acceptable portfolio review. |

Drawing 2 is for the serious art student who wishes to take their drawing experience toward the development of a personal style in two dimensional media. Students will use a variety of materials and work in a wide range of subjects from observation. Critical analysis of one’s own work, the work of classmates, and other artists will be emphasized as the student develops their own personal body of artwork into a portfolio. |

Paint 1
The purpose of this course is to build upon skills of two dimensional composition, and drawing, with the addition of a wet media. Students will explore, in depth, color theory and the practical application of various types of paint. They will enhance their drawn compositions through the use of watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paints. |
